دَوَّامَة \ whirl: a whirling movement: My mind was in a whirl (It was confused by exciting or anxious thoughts). \ دَوَّامَة مائيّة \ whirlpool: a place in the sea (or in a river) where water whirls round, and is drawn down at the centre of its whirl.
